Watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button with my bro using the free tickets that my bro got fr lucky draw.2h45mins worth of movie is pretty long and ur butt really hurts towards the end, but the content really kept me thinking... The many Oscars nominations for this movie are not for nothing. Haha. "U can bark like a mad dog, u can swear, u can curse ur fate, but in the end, u have to let it go." - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button I've learn to let go, and im learning to look ahead, but... How far should i go? How high should i aim? My sec sch form teacher always say.. "Aim for the moon and u'll reach the star." I always believe that, thus i always push myself as far as i could and usually this method worked. But now i also understand that “欲速则不达”(thx for the 1 that told me this. ^^). Sometimes taking smaller steps or takin a break isnt goin to kill u. Its a fortune to be able to stone ard... To watch the ppl on the street, to see the cloud moves, to listen to the peace ard u.. Take a break.. ^^

Vietnam trip~
Yay~ Went for Vietnam trip fr 12 feb to 17 feb for my cousin's wedding with my cousins and uncles. So cool cos this is the 1st time i went so far for a wedding dinner.Im quite sure that what i experienced there can nv be found at other places, even if ppl go vietnam with the tour package. Cos most of the places i went isn't tourist sites but some unique kampong areas which are extremely inaccessible using normal transport. So cool~ haha. Reached Ho chin min airport~ Puppies are sold cheaply along the road. Its nt hard to find husky or maltese roaming on the street as stray dogs. Too bad i cant bring them home. T_T Lady selling sugar cane. Nearly got my tooth extracted eating them. haha. The busy street. I think the ppl there must be getting frequent replacement of their honk cos they use it so much. This fish in the hotel is givin creeps with its hideous head. *chills* =X Veg veg and more veg~ Veggie is a must-have in vietnam dishes. Bored~ I wanna go home~ Haha. A grp photo before we head back to hotel. =) Went to the street for breakfast. Nt trying to exagerate, but the EVERYONE was practically STARING at me in astonishment as if im going to raze their stalls when i walked past them. Im jux abt.. 20 cm taller than them only.. O_O All bcos my uncle was holding on to his pro cam and my cosuin holding on to a camcorder, the stall owner thought im a celebrity to taste their food. Haha. Looked damn excited while we stayed there. Happy stall owner that smile so widely when i said i want to take photo with her. HAHA. Plenty of shops selling gowns can be seen along the street. Its only abt S$50 only can??? But im no ready to bcome a bride yet. What a waste.. HAHA. Visited the ultra big park at ho chi minh. Took the super fast roller coaster. I cant walk in a straight line after the ride. *faints* X_X The valentines' day events in the park. The ppl there celebrate valentines' day as a very impt event. can barely see my eyes cos the sun was so damn bright on that day. =.= The lion and.. the queen??? HAHA. My pet camel. HAHA. Looks like im in egypt in this photo. Nv see this fruit in sg before. Its sooooooooooooo sweet and juicy~ Yummy~ My uncle like to use me as his model when he take pictures. This is one of the plenty photos taken by my uncle. haha. PULL~~~~~~~ There's a catus garden in the park. So fascinating.. cos i nv see so many species of catus tgt before. hehe. Me and my mum. Do we look like sisters? Cos so many ppl said so.. So reluctant to take this photo, cos the dinosaur was so ugly. =.= Talkin to my frog prince. Will u turn into my prince charmin? LOL. Grp photo taken usin self timer. We went to the Cu Chi tunnel, a historic relic of a massive system of tunnels underground several floors, approx 200km. It's used in the past for accomodations, meeting, and preparing for battle. To avoid their enemy, the Americans, fr enterin the tunnel, the tunnels were made extremely narrow. I had a hard time getting into the tunnel given my "American-like" build. HAHA. The super narrow tunnel. The ppl alrdy widen it so its easier for tourist to walk thru. But its still so small!! C how much i need to bend? The tunnel was so humid that my back was totally drenched staying in there for 5 mins. This Sergent Lim speakin! LOL. Eating tapioca (source of food for the ppl livin in the tunnel in the past) at their undergrd dinin rm. Look at the content inside and u'll know why.. HAHA. Its less than S$10 and i seriously wanted to buy it to give ppl. But its illegal to bring to sg. Sian-ed. This place looked more like China than vietnam, cos everything is in chinese. Very very very magnificant. Grp photo~ This german man who stayed in HK asked to take pic with us after seein us enjoyin ourselves so much. HAHA. The man doin expert woodcraft. His works are so damn detailed and nice. *Dong* Me and my cousin's wife's bro. He's considered tall in vietnam. lol. Hop for the 'lucky water' inside. HAHA. Nice site for photo-takin. hehe. My cousin's wife family invited us for dinner at their hse the day before the wedding. Tot its jux a casual eat-and-chit-chat dinner, but they made it seems like the wedding dinner itself. With all the spread and relatives present. O_O See the food? It filled the whole table. The relatives on the left were all wearing coats. OMG. They invited my aunt on stage to sing. The guy on the left was playing live music fr his keyboard. So cool~ ^^ More story abt him ltr on.. haha. XD Woke up early at weddin day. So we went to the beach beside our chalet for breakfast. The famliy welcomed us at the entrance of the village. The ceremony looked like a malay wedding to me.. haha. Walkin to the hse.. We had to line up accordin to our 辈分. So im right at the back.=p The family welcomin us~ Fr the oldest to the youngest... The sweet couple. ^^ A pic with the ppl at my table. =) The moment~ A pic with both families. Im still taller even she wore the hat. Im so freakinly tall there. =.= 1 more pic with the bride and groom.^^ He was staring at me the moment i reached. He's able to stare at me even he's playin.. So.. shy shy shy~ Ah~~~~ XD So shocked when he brought me so close to him.XD A more.. 'decent' photo. Talented guy. Too bad he's born in vietnam.. HAHA. Went to the river near the hse. The water is so clear and coolin~ When we returned fr the wedding dinner, we went to the beach to play. hehe. Scenery of the beach~ so pretty with the light fog~ Artistic~ u cant see the line tat separates the sea and sky~ Stood at the rooftop of the chalet with my mum and cousin. The crop field. Smiles~ =D The merry-go-round behind his no machines to spin. It moves by using a fan only. So i believe it'll stop moving if i sit on it. HAHA. The very tasty seafood we bought at the night market. But it was so tough to eat cos its really hard to get the tiny bit of meat fr the mini shells. Determination required if u want to eat it. haha. HAHA! I get the meat out finally! =DBesides the accomodation (which we had the most troubles with), everything was pretty enjoyable. =D Its always fun goin out with my relatives in msia. Most probably we will go to the chalet in vietnam again. ^^ yay~ |
