家事

Viewer discretion is advised.That time me and my friends were talking about doing hsework, and one of my guy friend said that he usually clean the hse and cook for himself cos he lived alone. Then we were like so 佩服 that he can do all the things himself. He cannot tahan messiness at home and he felt that outside food is very unhealthy, so he rather do all the chores himself. Then, one of my female friend said that she doesnt know how to cook. She said she knows how to cook maggie mee only, but to me, knowing how to cook maggie mee doesnt means she can cook. Even a 5 yr old also know how to cook la.. pour hot water into cup noodles only what.. =.= So i thought she's a typical princess at home that most probably thought the stove is a monster and have nv been near to it in her life before. I've seen a few of this kind before. Not too shocking. But she went to the extremes... She doesnt even know how to sweep floor and mop floor. And she dont know how to use a washing machine. =.= HELLO MISS? Sweep floor only got 2 steps: Take broom with your hand firmly and sweep the dirt up. Mop floor also only 2 steps: Take mop and start mopping. Washing machine : Throw your dirty clothes into the machine and PRESS THE GODDAMN WASHING BUTTON LA! WTF. What's so hard about it? You dont seems handicap in any way what. Are these chores that complicated for your brain (she's a NTU student somemore..) to learn??? =.= When she was mentioning all about her 'achievements', she looked and sounded proud about it. =.= Proud about what sia? That you're useless??? This is the most ridiculous person i've ever seen in my life. =.= For my guy friend, he's rare, like a gem. For the girl, she's also rare, like an ultimate bimbo. =.= So i figure out that its not that she doesnt know how to do these housework. Its because she refused to learn them. And i think she believes that learning them = you have no choice but to do them when people ask you to. I'm sure she's gonna regret this in the future. I know because one of my aunties has the mindset when she was young too. She thought dont know = dont need to do. At first, when she was single, it really saved her from many chores at home and my mum's always the one doing all the housework and cooking. Then, when she got married, she realised that she's in deep deep trouble. Cos she has to do all the work that she'd nv done before, like cooking and stuffs and she had to learn from SCRATCH. And there's no one to help her up. And my mum on the other hand, since she has been doing these chores all her life, housework in her marriage life is kinda easy breezy to her. haha. The above isnt a gender discrimination comment when women should be the one doing all the chores. I just feel that knowing all these housework is a LIFE SKILL. Like if there's time that you are living alone, you'll know how to take care of urself. At least, you'll be surviving well. People like my female friend, i think she'll just let the dust in the house bury her to death or starts eating raw meat and gets poisoning to death since she doesnt know any housekeeping and cooking. =.= I'm also not trying to say that i'm very fantastic and a master at every single thing. But at the very least, i can do basic chores at home (eg, sweeping, mopping, wash and hang clothes, iron clothes... etc) and know how to cook a proper meal for the family. They're not really a CHORE to me, but rather a hobby. Things like cooking can be really fun, its kinda like my hobby now. And housework like mopping can actually be a very good workout (i always perspire like mad after finishing mopping the floor. lol). Help you lose weight and clean ur hse at the same time. 2 birds in 1 stone. haha. To add on, the female friend of mine (actually its pretty weird to call her 'friend' cos she's just an acquaintance, and people like her... very hard for me to talk to her w/o me vomiting blood. lol. but for convenience sake, i'll just call her my 'friend'. lol), she's totally ignorant about politics and current affairs, not even local ones. She doesnt even know who's our president. =.= I wonder if she even lives on Earth before i know her. =.= But what's the best/ worse part? . . . . . She's attached. There's a silent scream in me and a big WTF in my head when i got to know that. I wonder if her bf is bigfoot or ET? O_o or if her bf is fortunately (for her) /unfortunately (for her bf) a human, i believe he really got unique taste for gf. lol. I know im sounding bitchy alrdy, but i really cant help it. Alright, i admit i say that cos im partly jealous, but if you look at her and match with all these 'interesting' characteristics of hers i guess you'll react the same way too. lol. And im starting to get all picky about friends i make. I guess im really turning to a loner. I'll rather be alone than going out with friends. Start hating to be a in crowd.. lazy to socialise and dislike to know new friends. I also dont know why. I only want to hang out with the few close friends of mine but they are always not free. lol. So that leaves me with no choice but to be alone. lol. =.= I guess i'll go sleep alrdy. Tmr still have to wake up early to mop the floor. lol. Nitex world~ What do i have to do? To get rid of you. WOOHOO!
I think it's becoming a routine for me to report on what i did for my fridays to sundays. lol. Always very eventful~ or rather, my mondays to thursdays have nothing that's worth mentioning. lol.So what did i do on friday? I dolled up myself a little. Don't ask me why, just got the sudden mood to do so. hahaha. Here's 1 of the 20 camwhore shot before i get out of hse:  Anw~ I went to Bugis. Shopping. Alone. For me, as some my friends know alrdy, Bugis + shopping + alone = Shopping Madness!!!! XD Bugis street is ultra nice place to shop. Things are darn cheap and sometimes u can find really good stuffs there~ Bought so many stuffs that i'm amazed myself. haha. But caution: Pls skip the first level main street. Its gonna be a waste of time looking at the apparels in poor quality. Go to the shops at the far corner of the street or go to the 2nd floor. The things are cheaper than the 1st floor and the quality of their items are reasonably good, at least far better than those at the 1st floor. lol. These are my shopping haul:       But this is definitely the best buy for the day~ *drum rolls*  Alrite. I know it looks very ordinary in this pic, but i must explain why its the best buy. Actually, i've seen this top like a month ago with my friends, at Dorothy Perkins. Maybe the fabric is not as good as DP's, but the design was EXACTLY the same. That time at DP when i saw the top, i love it at the first sight. Wanted to buy it, but i looked at the price tag.... Freaking $76. (the 'freaking' wasnt on the price tag. i added it. lol) And i bought this top at bugis street for like... $12???? LOL. I was so proud of this buy i think my face looked like this at the shop.  This is how much i spent in total: 2 bracelets @ $5 2 (sets of) bangles @ $20 1 rubber band @ $2 2 pouches @ $12 1 hoodie top @ $15 1 duckling top @ $10 1 DP's lookalike top @ $12 1 pencil skirt @ $20 1 Zinc bag pack @ $35.90 Total up to be.. $141.90! O_O but i used a $40 capital voucher that i got for my 21st bday at bugis junction, so i ended up spending $101.90.... only. =s Its quite alot of money~ but that's a necessary therapy once in while isnt it? =p im normally not that spendthrift~ haha. =s After my happy shopping, i went for my last sign language lesson at SADeaf at night~ My eyes were super dry and tired after straining my eyes the whole day to search for good stuffs at bugis, so took down my contacts and wore my specs instead. I was damn early (ard 40mins early?) so i grabbed to chance to camwhore abit. haha.   My classmate and my instructor came and bought food to celebrate the passing of our exams. They really bought LOTSA FOOD. O_O   Luckily other instructors, in fact almost all of them came into our rm to chill. I think they all came to our room cos we are kinda like the highest lvl batch of students for that night, and its much easier communicating with us in sign language. So the instructors helped to finish all the food there. LOL.    So that's all for friday. I'll move on to sat. haha. On Sat, didnt go out with friends and stayed at home to make cookies with hr. I decided to make almond choco cookies, but doesnt turn out that well like the last time. =( not very crispy cos i think its a little under cooked (the cookie mixture was dark brown in colour before i bake it, so its impossible to observe if the cookies were baked well. =.=) and its not as fragrant as the previous one. TSK. =3= Nxt time gonna be better! haha. =D     So after baking the cookies, we practically nua-ed on the sofa. The warm afternoon that day was damn suitable to laze around. haha. Nua-ed for i think 3hrs or so and hr went home. Though it sounds like a really boring sat, i think its pretty nice to 宅 at home once in a while. Love the peaceful afternoon~ =) haha. FAT AND UGLY.
Been lazing around for very long alrdy~ not been exercising for ard a month. =.= i can totally feel the fats happily storing up in my body.. my body's getting so flabby i feel like im turning into a huge balloon filled with oil. =.= im about to puke when i pinch the lump of fats on my body.. lol. So i made a big decision ytd. I SHALL EXERCISE! >:( *eyes burning with fire* After i woke up (which was around 12pm? i slept late~ not that i slp alot huh.. haha.), i washed up and gear myself up for the work out! Since its noon time, i dont wish to jog and melt halfway cos the sun was damn hot, i decided to do some exercise at home. So this was what i turn to:  So i was on that thing for 20 mins and did ~2000 times. Pro not? haha. Just a little bit of suan-ness on my thighs while i was doing it, and my sweat was like.. POURING. Sweat dripped into my eyes but i didnt stop cos i dont feel like stopping the momentum. lol. It wasnt tiring at all. That was when i WHILE I WAS DOING IT. When i got down from it. I nearly fell down cos my thighs was damn suan and wobbly. Like the machine totally sucked all the energy from my thighs. =.= At least i wasnt panting and stuffs. Just plain suan. Overwhelming amount of lactic acid on my thighs. lol. But it was nice to perspire. Love the refreshing feeling of showering after exercise. =) I was still feeling very contented for my attempt to shake some fats off me, and then... My mum bought me ayam penyet for dnr. =.= If u dont know what that is.. its basically rice with FRIED chicken drumstick, FRIED tau gua, FRIED beans pancake. =.= And whats more? I was feeling very guilty after that meal and was munching on a tomato to neutralize the calories impact. Then, my mum told me that.. "Wa.. eating tomato ah? Eh, fridge got ice cream hor. Go take one and eat lo." =.= So there goes my effort to lose weight. Now i see the fats on my tummy making new friends with the newly invited fats immigrants. =3= But, i'll continue to use that equipment. I WILL LOSE WEIGHT. O_O Hopefully. hahaha. =p Besides rattling on my 'horizontal' problem, i have to talk abt my face! T_T Some time back, there was an sudden acne outbreak on the temple of my face. I never had such a serious acne problem in my life before. It was pretty bad and that i even went to see specialist at national skin centre for it. Got all the face wash and cream. Finally recovered after more than a month. Then, i realised the pores on my face were damn big. =.= Its so big that i feel that i can ALMOST STUFF MY PINKY INTO THE PORES. =.= Alright. Kinda too exaggerated. But the pores were really intolerable GINORMOUS. =.= Tried different types of toner, but i think this is the best for me so far:  Under the Derma Genesis, there's also other different types for diff purposes. lol. They have toner for whitening, anti-aging.. etc. So many to choose from just from their own series of toner ( i think there's.. 5?). lol. When i was still deciding which one to buy, i cant make up my mind cos there's too many types to choose fr and each type seems to be fantastic. haha. But i ended up buying this toner specially for tightening pores, and i felt i really made the right choice. =D The toner was really pretty amazing, cos after using it for just 2 days, my pores were visibly much much smaller. Now my face is really much smoother with the pores vanishing from my face. Hopefully, my face can be so smooth that mosquito can slip off my face after i finish using the bottle of toner. haha. Oh ya. And the toner is just... $12.90! Cheap or what? haha. I think i can be L'oreal's 代言人. Say their product untill so heavenly good. haha. 5 facts about me
Alright. I'm going to say first that the start of this post has no link to the title, but its going to lead me to what i wanna talk about in this entry later. Lol. Let me start with the happenings from last fri to sun...Last friday, i woke up with the plan of going to bugis to shop alone. I changed my clothes and was ready to get out of the house. And as i was packing my bag, i flipped my Sign language notes (i had sign language lesson later that night) before putting it into my bag, and i realised something BIG. The lesson at night was actually.... my final exam. And i've studied nuts for it. *lightning strikes at background* O_O So i dumped my bag aside and buried my face into the notes. D: To pass the exams for previous level was pretty easy (i've completed basic level 1,2 and 3, and intermediate level 1) and i usually study for the exams on the day of exams itself. But intermediate level 2 is a MONSTER. Its just like end of yr exams for secondary sch (1/2 as simple) for the previous levels. But forgetting about revising for this exam is like forgetting to study for your o level papers. It was really a very "head-bangs-wall" moment. =.= I had like only 2h+ to revise the tons of vocabs. And by the time i reached the school, i have not even complete revision for basic level 3. =(((((((( So, i took the paper w/o studying for my intermediate 1 and 2 AT ALL. =.= This was the most screwed up paper that i took. I nearly pulled out all my hair while taking the paper. =.= To pass the paper, i've to get at least 75%. yes. just for PASSING i have to get 75%. And guess what? I've already lost 10% of my marks cos i missed 2 lessons, and there goes my att marks. T_T So, i can only afford to lose 15% of my marks before i fail the exams. In the end, i got.... 75%. Just nice to pass. =.= Phew~ Im just damn lucky i guess. =.= So after the terrifying paper, i went for my friend's bday celebration at Goldkist chalet. My friend drove me there. Its pretty late at night when we reached. I think its around 12am? At first we thought of staying awhile and leave within an hour... but... we stayed till 5am+. =.= And when my friend drove me home, it's already 6am+. =.= I'm supposed to go for a cca event at ard 9am. BUT, no need to say also know that i'll sleep like a pig and miss the event. =( so i woke up in the afternoon and nua-ed at home. lol. Then i got too bored and decided to go out and shop around cwp alone. lol. As i was happily shopping at Nichii (bought 1 shirt, 1 t-shirt and 1 shades.. Great discount! lol.) and choosing clothes to try on, my phone slipped fr my hand and fell hard onto the floor. I picked up my phone and saw streaks of line (those that u see on a lousy tv with bad reception) on the screen. There's damage on the display but I thought its still acceptable, given the impact of the fall. Also, i can still use all the functions in the phone and the touch screen is still sensitive. BUT, when i tried to use it again after an hour, the screen was totally black. NOTHING. DEAD. =.= Damn devastated. D: So i have to switch to my "lao ya" sony ericsson spare phone... and having a headache about what to do next, cos i definitely dont want to live with my cui-ed spare phone for about 5 months before the contract can be renewed. =.= So, i sent my dead phone for repair ytd at those outside handphone shop to replace the screen for $55 (dont want to go nokia shop cos its cfm so exp that i'll rather buy a new phone). And i can get the phone like later today! Wee~~~~~ =D suddenly i feel that my nokia phone's so lovely~ HAHA. 失去后才觉得更珍贵~ lol. How apt. haha. So now, back to the main pt (after the uber long story above. haha.), while i was using the spare phone, i saw the past msges in the inbox and the photos, videos, music.. etc. in the spare phone. It felt totally cool looking thru all of them. =) When we were all young and these... then i suddenly realised that i've certain habits and hobbies that i got since i was really young till now. Some of these may be unknown to even my closer friends. Alright la.. its just 5 random facts about me. Nothing related to the ah ma story written above. Just a sudden random realisation alright? LOL. 1) I like to hold onto the straps of my friends' bag when i go out with them. Some people may think that its really odd, but i really cant help it. Its a habit of mine since i was less than 7 yrs old. Cos i was so afraid that i'll get lost in shopping malls so i'll hold on to the straps of my mum's bag esp in very crowded area so i wont lose my mum. Then i carry on with this habit when i was out with my friends, since at times i'll get too enthused by the things around me that i dont know that my friends already walked away. haha. Somehow this habit gives me a sense of security. haha. So friends, dont be alarmed when i hold ur bag. Im not going to rob u. lol. 2) Im totally obsessed with a animated movie called 《小倩》. Just in case people dont know what this movie is, let me refresh your memory with the photos.. If people are observant enough, you'll see me very busy classifying my food before i eat them. This is especially obvious when im eating 菜饭, when i'll put all the different types of 菜 into their own groups. Last time i cant even stand a grain of rice stuck onto my 菜 before i eat them. Now a few grains stuck are fine with me already. haha. And i believe this behavior of mine was cultivated when i was young. My mum always like to cook rice with other dishes and put them onto a very cute plate with partitions for me. Something like... this one below, but cuter. haha.  4)I hate lizards. =( I have an extreme fear for lizards. I cant stand them within 3m radius range from me. =.= I'll just freak out if a lizard appear within the range, dead or alive. =.= I rmbed i sprinted along the corridor to my hse becos the ceiling was manifested with lizards. =.= I think the phobia was caused by a childhood trauma that i had when i was ard 7. I rmb i was at my grandma's hse in msia, i was sitting on a bench and stoning at the front yard early in the morning. Then, out of nowhere, a lizard fell onto my shirt and it was bouncing and wriggling on my shirt like nobody's business. I was so freaked out that i dont even know what to do about it and screamed like a mad person. Then my heroic grandfather passed by and swept the lizard off my shirt, saving me from the torture. Since then on, i have growing phobia about lizards and dare not go close them, fearing that it might fall onto me again. *shivers* =s I'll rather eat 10 cockroaches than eating one lizard.. tail. Though i also dont like cockroaches la.. This shows how much i despise lizard. lol. 5) I like to sleep with myself covered/buried in blanket. What i mean here is really.. COVERED. Like from head to toe covered. Just like how people wrap dead bodies. haha. Cos when i was young right, i always thought a wicked witch will visit me late at night and attack me if my body is 'revealed' to her. lol. So i'll try to cover every single inch of my body with blanket no matter how hot the weather was that night. So untill now right, i like to cover myself with blanket, especially my head. Its not so bad now as in i dont need to be fully covered with blanket, but the head is the minimum. I cant slp without my head covered with blanket. haha. I've checked it out recently and found out it's an action of insecurity. Aiya~ also didnt really bother about it. As long as i can breathe properly with my head covered, everything's fine with me. haha. Friday + weekend!
Had an rather busy Friday and weekend last week~ shall elaborate on what i did~ On Friday, i went to buy the ingredients and materials for my friends' birthday gifts at vista point. Then i saw this 扭蛋 machine (those that u put $1 then u can turn and get one toy) with angry birds. So i inserted $1 and this is what i got...  WTF is this???? A super orh biang bracelet that doesnt even fit my wrist. =.= That's when i took a closer look at the machine and when i saw the tiny whiny wordings.. "Other toys included". WTH. Wasted my $1. =.= But i decided to take the risk again and try my luck for my angry bird. lol. And finally, this is what i got~  And then i suddenly got an idea to make use of the bracelet that i got~  At night, i had my second try (my 1st try was more than 2 yrs ago.. and kinda a failure.. lol.) in making cookies for my friend's bday gift~ made coconut cookies! haha.       Here's the cookies! They taste really good! SUCCESS! MUAHAHA. Gonna bake other different types of cookies soon! =) On Sat, finally got a chance to meet up with the AJ netball girls. lol. Its so hard to meet up as a grp since we have extremely packed schedule. We went to Marina Square to watch Mr Popper's penguins first~ the movie was quite cute with the penguins running around, but the plot was kinda expected. I'll give it a 3/5. lol. Then, we went to this very ulu restaurant at Tiong Bahru called the "Blue Garden". Its a korean BBQ restaurant which cost ard $26++ for dinner time. I can say that its really worth the money cos the food there is pretty fresh and tasty. Actually im not very crazy over their bbq meat. i like their side dishes. haha. They have a wide range of different korean dishes like fried nian gao, fried veg pancakes, ginseng chicken soup (though pretty tasteless.. lol).. etc. A korean food fans must-go restaurant. haha.    The side dishes that i cant stop eating. lol. The 三层肉 is~~~~ HEAVENLY~ hahahaha. XD  On Sun, went out with yu ting, si min and teck kuan to celebrate tk's bday in advance before yt and him go for their 3 weeks aust trip.  The card that i made for tk~ tried my best to make it nice... lol.  One of the photos in the card. I love this photo of us particularly~ =) Looked like we are like some professionals for some executive job. haha. XD  After tk's done with his job, we took train to little india (yes, little india. during a weekend. =.= i felt like a minority there.) to have our dnr at a restaurant called Muthu's Curry. By the name of the restaurant, i thought it's gonna be a very rundown restaurant with coconut oil smell filling the air, and house flies landing on my food. lol. BUT, the restaurant looks super grand and comfortable. Not a single house fly and the air's fresh too. HAHA. Even the toilet's super clean. lol. And the food is pretty cheap and tasty! If u like spicy food, its one of the best restaurant i'll recommend. =)   After the dnr, we had a mini celebration for tk's bday. Brought him a small cake and sang him bday songs. haha. HAPPY BDAY TK! hope u like the card! =D  HAPPY BDAY AGAIN! =D After we left the restaurant, we rushed to The Cathay to watch.... TRANSFORMER 3~~~~~~ Transformer 3 was as action-packed as expected, but i must say that.. Megan fox is like a 1000 times better than the new female lead in this movie. Megan Fox is like damn hot with strong character, but this new female lead (which i dunno wth is her name) is like only 10% as hot and totally an useless dumb blonde (always there screaming here and there only. =.=) that doesnt help at all. Luckily the autobots are damn cool to compensate for it. lol. Overall i'll give this movie 4/5! =) Busy busy weekend yea? haha. Fulfilling 3 days.. =) Good movies + tasty food + awesome friends! Im loving it! HAHA. XD
